Job Summary
The School of Music at the University of Southern Mississippi seeks an engaged teacher and active scholar to offer a broad array of courses in the Western musical tradition and to engage in service to the school, particularly in the realms of undergraduate teaching and graduate committee service. The area of specialization is open, but experience in historical performance practices, world musics, or music after 1945 is particularly welcome. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal.
The School of Music at the University of Southern Mississippi serves students of varied socio-economic backgrounds as well as a vibrant population of international students. The successful candidate will appreciate and engage with this diversity.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses as assigned.
- Service on School of Music committees
- Performs other duties as assigned.
